On Thursday, November 12 at 6pm, EMPAC will feature Latsky in an Interface program, a free series that brings artists, engineers, scientists, and designers together to talk about how they actually make and think. Rather than presenting finished work, the series focuses on what happens along the way—experiments, questions, failures, intuitions, and discoveries that change the direction of a project. Latsky will converse with a professor from RPI’s Biological Neuroscience Program.
Only five days later, Latsky will return to the region this time to Russell Sage College for a free screening and discussion of her film “Living in the Grey” on Tuesday, November 17 at 6pm at the Bush Memorial. A moving 35-minute documentary that was conceived with cinematographer Sebastian Lasaosa Rogers, the work pairs raw, intimate interviews with striking movement while shining a light on the often misunderstood and stigmatized world of non-apparent neurological disabilities. A 5pm reception with Latsky will take place in the Bush Memorial before the program.
