Moving into the spring, the UAlbany Performing Arts Center will again present its resident ensemble but this time with another regional dance company. Capital Duo and Albany Berkshire Ballet will present an afternoon of lush movement and live music on Sunday, April 4 at 3pm. The program will include a premiere choreographed by Associate Artistic Director Mary Giannone Talmi along with select repertory and excerpts from the classical ballet canon. Music for the dances as well as several introspective interludes will feature Schumann, Chopin, Debussy and Beethoven.
“I’m thrilled to be working collaboratively with these five colleges and universities in the Capital Region,” exclaims NYS DanceForce member Kim Engel. “Their commitment to dance is deep and there is a very strong understanding of what the art form means to the residents and students of this region. I applaud their efforts and dedication.”
