The First Annual Hudson Valley/Capitol Region Student Dance Summit
The Dance Summit will be held Kaatsbaan Cultural Park in Tivoli, NY on Saturday November 4. This is a free, day-long event for student dancers and choreographers ages 8 – 18. The day includes classes and workshops, participation in the creation and performance of a group work, and an opportunity for young choreographers to submit original dances for performance.
Featured Summit workshops include West African Contemporary Dance with Souleymane Badolo, Contemporary Dance with Leslie Partridge Sachs, Flamenco Dance with Omonike Akinyemi, and an On-Site Collaborative Dance Making Workshop with Jessie Levey.
