A dance sampler created by Dance Alliance in the late 1990’s with a two-fold mission: to educate participants about the founders of American dance and to allow participants to experience diverse movement styles firsthand taught by master teachers from the Capital Region. Each week will focus on a different artist of color and dance style and begin with a short historical overview by Mary Anne Fantauzzi, National Museum of Dance Docent Coordinator. A 55 minute movement class will follow.  No prior dance experience is needed!
