Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, the founder of Body-Mind Centering® (BMC) will be presenting a six hour workshop at Skidmore College, June25 & 26, 2014. As a pre-conference presenter she will precede the 29th Annual BMCA U.S. Conference in an experiential workshop entitled “New Frontiers in Body-Mind Centering”. Cohen was a dancer, turned occupational therapist, turned experiential body mind researcher. She is known for her somatic exploration of the body brain using movement, touch, sound, imagery. Her understanding of the body systems, development, embryology, and cellular consciousness is based on science, anatomy and physiology. Those who practice BMC embody developmental patterns and tissues under the skin. BMC recognizes the body as the teacher and permits the shifting of patterns and habits through somatic experience.
