So You Think You Don’t Understand (Modern) Dance?

Performance Spaces for the 21st Century (PS21) and Dance OMI present an afternoon of modern dance- Dance Omi Alumni Works in Progress” as part of the Chatham Dance Festival and will be held free of charge. The event will take place under The Tent at PS21. Dance Omi Director Christopher K. Morgan will facilitate a showing of works-in-progress by Alumni of the Dance Omi Residency Program, including 2009 Dance Omi Alumna, and Keigwin + Company co-founder Nicole Wolcott. The New York Times described Wolcott this way: “Ms. Wolcott has a gift for organizing space, but her sophisticated comedic abilities are probably her strongest suit.” Using his extensive experience with the Liz Lerman Critical Response Process, Morgan will facilitate an exchange between the artists and the audience.
