Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf

Following on the success of the Adirondack Ballet Theater’s three (3) sold out performances of The Nutcracker, CRW’s resident dance company is proud to present Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf at the Charles R.  Wood Theater. Immerse yourself in this timeless children’s story of young Peter’s adventures from his home out into the forest, as orchestral and wind instruments narrate his interactions with the Cat, Bird, Duck, Caterpillar, Butterflies, Zoo Animals, a scary Wolf, and more! ABT in its 24th season; brings unique choreography with the talents of local ballet students ages 5 to 18 and will feature a professional ballet dancer to create a new twist that audience of all ages will find delightful.  Children of all ages are invited to this light-spirited show and bring their favorite stuffed animal to sit and watch with them, then pose for a picture at our special photo spot! This show also features teaching of a brief dance routine for children, a raffle table filled with unique gift baskets and a boutique table. This event is made possible, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program and Warren County, administered locally by the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council.
