Join artist and choreographer Omonike Akinyemi for a two-part workshop series exploring flamenco through African diasporic movement traditions. Each workshop focuses on a distinct element of flamenco. The first workshop centers on Rumba Flamenco, emphasizing groove, grounding, and communal exchange; the second deepens technical and expressive vocabulary through additional flamenco forms and improvisational structures. Open to dancers of varying backgrounds, the series invites embodied inquiry, cultural dialogue, and creative exploration.
