Wednesday, October 7, 7:00 PM, Dance Theater: Public lecture by Ronnie Ancona (Professor of Classics emerita, CUNY Hunter) based on her new book Martha Graham’s Greek Myth-Based Dances and Her Collaboration with Isamu Noguchi (Oxford 2026). Ancona will discuss Noguchi’s and Graham’s visual-performative collaboration, with an eye toward how her bold and woman-centered receptions of Greek myth emerged over time.
