Your favorite local dancers and choreographers are back for this yearly performance at the Arts Center!

This FREE, 45-minute concert of inspired and insightful modern dance will take place twice during March Troy Night Out, Friday 3/31, at 6:00 and 7:30 pm in the black box theater of the Arts Center of the Capital Region.

Eight local choreographers and dancers bring you an experimental evening of the newest modern dance in Troy. Participating this year are Louisa Barta, Maggie Ciambrone, Marie Klaiber, Madeline Morser, André Robles, Sara Senecal, Laura Teeter, and Jennifer Yackel.

With so many distinct choreographic visions, you’re sure to see something you’ll want to talk about over drinks after the show!

Pilobolus @ The Egg

More than a dance company, Pilobolus Dance Theatre offers a spectacular, colorful display of movement, collaboratively creating, and continually exploring new ways of using the human body as a graphic and expressive medium. The internationally acclaimed collective presents a retrospective of it ground breaking repertoire created since 1971!

This engagement of Pilobolus Dance Theatre is made possible through the ArtsCONNECT program of Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Dance Alliance’s 27th annual dance festival that draws hundreds of participants from across upstate New York. Enjoy a variety of classes taught by amazing instructors at an incredible value.

CLASSES OFFERED include Toddler & Me Ballet, Kid’s Hip Hop, Zumba® Kids, Yoga, Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Classical Indian, and more!

  Full Day Dance Alliance Member – $40 prepay ($45 at the door)

PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOTS will be offered beginning at 9:00 AM and intermittently throughout the day. Headshots are free for Full Day registrants or $10 ala carte.

RAFFLE PRIZES will be available including SPAC tickets and gift certificates to Saratoga Dance and the National Museum of Dance. Raffle tickets will be $5 each or 5 for $20.

Ballet Workout Class with NYC Ballet Soloist Savannah Lowery @ Total Body Trifecta

The National Museum of Dance will soon be opening for its 30th Anniversary Summer Season, and we invite you to join us for a Kickoff Celebration to highlight this exciting time in the Museum’s history!

Enjoy dancing to music by Bronte Entertainment, drinks and food by Mama Mias!

The Museum’s current exhibitions, including “Dancers in Film,” “The Dancing Athlete,” “50Years at SPAC,” 2016 Hall of Fame Inductees Gregory Hines and Patricia Wilde, Art in the Foyer-Photographs by Paul Kolnik will be available for viewing.

Dance Heginbotham @ SUNY Albany PAC

Well-known for his dozen plus years as a dancer with Mark Morris Dance Group, Artistic Director John Heginbotham has quickly established his own company as one of the most adventurous and exciting on the American contemporary dance scene. Acclaimed for its vibrant athleticism, humor and theatricality as well as its commitment to collaboration, the company is currently celebrating its fifth anniversary season.

This performance is part of the New York State Presenters Network Presenter-Artist Partnership Project made possible through a regrant from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature. Support provided by the Hampton Inn.

Calling Choreographers @ Museum of Dance, School of the Arts

The SOA would like to open their doors and support the local dance community by providing an informal, open space for local choreographers to converge for an exchange and sharing of ideas.

This will be an opportunity for choreographers to showcase their current contemporary works and receive feedback from an audience of other dancers, choreographers, and dance enthusiasts. Your piece can be a solo or group piece, a finished piece or a work-in-progress at a max of 7 minutes.
