Founded in 2011, Jessica Lang Dance (JLD) is a New York City based dance company whose mission is to present and perform dance works around the world that immerse global audiences in the beauty of movement and music. The company has performed at premier venues and festivals worldwide including Lincoln Center’s White Light Festival, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Next Wave Festival, New York City Center’s Fall for Dance Festival, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the Joyce Theater, the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, The Music Center, Winspear Opera House, Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center, Helikon Opera and Palacio de Bellas Artes, among others.

Breaking Boundaries aims to showcase dance in its realm of possibilities. How can dance push boundaries, explore values and address trends, surprise, spark a conversation, and engage an audience? Breaking Boundaries will make us wonder about dance’s power, beauty and purpose.

The Winter Dance Concert will take the stage at the Yulman Theatre, February 28 and March 1-3 at 7:30pm with a matinée March 3 at 2:00pm. General admission is $10.00, Union College Students, Faculty and Staff $7.00. Tickets are on sale starting on Wednesday, February 14th from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Nathan Griswold & Ana Maria Lucaciu @ Kaatsbaan International Dance Center

Nathan Griswold, originally from the northwest coast of the United States, finished his formal dance training at the Ben Stevenson Academy in Houston, Texas. He has danced as a member of the Atlanta Ballet, the Alberta Ballet, Houston Ballet, Ballet Augsburg and National theater Mannheim.
Ana Maria Lucaciu was born in Bucharest, Romania. After graduating from the National Ballet School of Canada she joined Canada’s National Ballet and went on to dance with the Royal Danish Ballet, Augsburg Ballet (Germany), The Portuguese Contemporary Dance Company (Lisbon) and most recently, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet in New York, where she danced for seven years.

“Mother GOOSE!” New York Theatre Ballet – FOR SCHOOL GROUPS @ The Egg

New York Theatre Ballet brings to life characters from the Mother Goose nursery rhymes. Jack and Jill, Little Bo Peep, Little Boy Blue, Little Miss Muffet, and other favorites kick up their heels in this delightful ballet. Recommended for Pre K – Grade 2.

Arts-in-education performances at The Egg are open to school groups at a cost of $6 per person. Most events include a study guide to ensure that your students are fully prepared for each performance.
