Capital Region Choreographers submit your work to be considered for An Evening of Dance by Emerging Choreographers presented at the Albany Center Gallery in Albany, NY on Friday, September 15, 2017.
This evening will provide emerging and up and coming Capital Region choreographers an opportunity to showcase new or recently finished work (within the past 2 years). Feedback from the community through a talk-back will conclude the performance followed by a reception. The event will be free of charge for the community with the goal to deepen the relationship between regional choreographers, dancers and the Capital Region Community.
Applications are due by May 31, 2017 and accepted choreographers will be notified by June 10, 2017. Each participating choreographer will receive a $200 stipend to use specifically for production fees for their work (rehearsal space, costumes, paying dancers, etc). A final report with budget will be required.
Artists will be chosen based on his/her body of work, proposed piece, creativity, and artistic merit. An application review by the project producer, Anna Pillot, and the Artistic Director of eba, Maude Baum will determine participants.
