AjkunBT’s 10th Anniversary at The Egg Performing Arts Center.Ajkun Ballet Theatre will hold its tenth annual Residency in Albany (NY)

where the Company will restage and perform the full-length ballet Swan Lake from July 24  throughout August  14, 2010. The Company will be casting children aged nine to young teens from the Capitol Region area for its Albany performances. The audition will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 2pm at the City Center, 130 West 56th Street, New York City, NY 10019. Sun.  Feb. 14 @ 10am – 12 noon, All level Contact Improv master class with Ava Heller at Hubbard Hall's Beacon Feed Studio, 25 East Main Street, Cambridge, NY. Contact Improvisation is a partnering form of dance. Skills such as falling, rolling, following and leading, and giving and supporting weight will be explored through a series of fun and refreshing activities. Spend this Valentines Day dancing with a partner or best friend. Come as a pair or just bring yourself! Cost: $18 members, $20 non-members. Saturday, February 20 The Society for Creative Anachronism, a medieval/Renaissance re-creation group will be holding an early period participatory dance demonstration at the National Museum of Dance from 10:30 to noon . The dances will be taught, and will include pavanes, bransles and English Country. These are fairly easy dances and suitable for older children, as well as adults. 'Fun, with no experience necessary. There will be a $5.00/person at-the-door admission fee payable to the National Museum of Dance.

Interested in dancing all day with the Society for Creative Anachronism? The Society welcomes all who would make an attempt at medieval/Renaissance garb, to join us. Information about the Feb.20 event, and the Society for Creative Anachronism in general, can be found at www.eastkingdom.org.

Sun. Feb. 21 from 10am to 1:30pm. Introduction to Continuum™ with Mary Abrams. Workshop held at Hubbard Hall's Beacon Feed Studio, 25 East Main Street, Cambridge, NY. Continuum is for people of all ages and body types with all levels of movement experience, and for people dealing with illness or injury. It is an exploration into the deep play of our existence that begins with our physical body in sensation and movement.  It awakens our capacity to move freely, feel deeply and respond potently to life’s changing circumstances. Cost: $50/$45 members. Johnny Martinez offers a Beginner/Intermediate West Coast Class on Tues. at 8:15, focusing on technique, partnership and figures. Thursday is Tango night in Saratoga with Johnny and Diane. –Beginners at 6:30 and Intermediate students at 7:45.  The course is 6 weeks and is $90 per person or $75 for new students who attend the open house and register for the remaining 5 weeks.  Classes are held at Total Body Trifecta Studio located at 61 Lawrence St, Saratoga. Wednesdays at 7 pm, Salsa for students who know the Salsa basics or have done other styles of dancing. The National Museum of Dance’s School of the Arts is offering dance classes, for beginner to advanced level dancers, ages 3 through adults. Participants can pay for a whole session or drop-in classes. The School of the Arts is situated behind the Dance Museum in the Swyer Dance Studio, 99 South Broadway, Saratoga.
