July 28-Aug. 8 - Summer Intensive 2008 - Program for ages 9 and up includes: Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Choreography, Turns & Leaps, Master Workshops with renowned artists. Cost is based on program class selection. 

 

The National Museum of Dance's School of the Arts is offering evening summer dance classes for beginner to advanced level dancers who are 8 years of age and older, including adults. Participants can pay for a whole session or drop-in classes. The styles of dance offered over the summer are: Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Belly Dancing, and Zumba (dance aerobics).  The School of the Arts behind the National Museum of Dance in the Swyer Dance Studios, located at 99 South Broadway, Saratoga Springs NY. A 9-week session starts on June 9 and a 5-week session begins on July 7. Sat, July 19 @ 7:30-11:30pm – Tango Fusion Dance Company will host dance workshops and a Milonga at the Arthur Murray Saratoga, 75 Woodlawn Avenue, Saratoga Springs. The Milonga starts with beginner/intermediate advanced workshops. Cost $13 including workshops. Registered Argentine Tango & West Coast Swing students receive a discount. Intermediate Argentine Tango classes are held at 8:15pm on Thursday nights and the beginning West Coast Swing class is on Tuesday evenings.  Cost per session is $80, which includes free admission to a Friday night dance party & workshop before party. Total Body Trifecta Studio, 61 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, will offer an 8-week Middle Eastern Belly Dancing class with Jordan-born Sabreen Samman on Wednesdays at 7:15pm.  The session begins on July 9 and costs $80 for all 8 classes or $12 for walk-ins.  For more information, contact Sabreen at 581-8025.

July 21- Aug. 1,  8:30 am- 4:30 pm - GREASE The Musical Summer Day Camp.  Campers create, rehearse, perform, make art and rock-n-roll at the eba Theater. Each day includes classes and creative workshops, two healthy snack breaks, a rest/read time, and lunch in Washington Park (weather permitting).
