The Company will be casting children aged nine to young teens from the Capitol Region area for its Albany performances. Sun. Feb. 14 @ 10am – 12 noon, All level Contact Improv master class with Ava Heller at Hubbard Hall's Beacon Feed Studio, 25 East Main Street, Cambridge, NY. Contact Improvisation is a partnering form of dance. Skills such as falling, rolling, following and leading, and giving and supporting weight will be explored through a series of fun and refreshing activities. Spend this Valentines Day dancing with a partner or best friend. Come as a pair or just bring yourself! Cost: $18 members, $20 non-members. The dances will be taught, and will include pavanes, bransles and English Country. These are fairly easy dances and suitable for older children, as well as adults. 'Fun, with no experience necessary. There will be a $5.00/person at-the-door admission fee payable to the National Museum of Dance. Interested in dancing all day with the Society for Creative Anachronism? The Society welcomes all who would make an attempt at medieval/Renaissance garb, to join us. It is an exploration into the deep play of our existence that begins with our physical body in sensation and movement.
